FSGL 2008 Week 15 Press Release (8/6)
Look at the scorecards and you will see the saga of CCJ’s golf game continued in words, pictures, and numbers {high numbers - ed}. Team 2 squandered a chance to take Team 4 down, who’s simple consistency is controlling things right now.
PTJoe’s was not utilized yet again. A subset of the league went to Moose Macgregors and had a good time.
The plan is to try Moose’s this week after golf. Here is the location. It is just up Telegraph, avoiding any detours because of the S. Huron River Drive I-75 bridge being out.
The last Two-Man Scramble of the year. And with the deadly combination of the dry lazy hazy days of summer coupled with Wesburn notorious roll, we could be seeing some low scores on the back nine. This is also Team 4’s worst Fore Skin Event, so here is a chance to bring the top tier of teams closer together.
Golfing is a good walk spoiled.

FSGL 2008 Week 14 Press Release (7/30)
Golfer that plays better than dad.
The match of the week was overshadowed by the performance of SuperSub Nate. But that is all since this scribe was not present and nobody has any stories to relay. Update: Scanned scorecards are up and, as you can see from CCJ’s caveman drawings, there are stories to tell. From what this writer can decipher, The Captain’s child played well, possibly as well as his father, and it seems as though Scott played so bad as to be compared to the opposite sex. It can be further inferred that this may be totally unfair to women golfers everywhere.
Team 4 has strengthened their lead, but they know things are not in control. This big of a lead was lost last year as well and a back nine scramble (Team 4’s nemesis) is looming next week. But teams better start showing up and keeping Team 4 in site. This weeks’ chance comes from Team 2, who has leapt out of last place and is only a few points from 2nd.
Golfer that plays like a girl.

FSGL 2008 Week 13 Press Release (7/23)
Although Team 4 held their own during the scramble last week, Team 3 has begun their push for the #1 spot by jumping a couple slots and butting into the featured tee time for Position Night #3 this week. Can they continue this push? Are they tired of looking up at Team 4? Are they ready to do something about it? Meanwhile, Robber did his team well by performing alone possibly better than anyone has performed in a scramble alone.
As mentioned above, Teams 4 and 3 face an epic battle for first place this week, but match of the week may be the 5th and 6th place teams. Teams 6 and 2 will battle and the loser may find themselves nearly out of it with a month to go. Plus, we see that added dimension of former teammates Robber and Baz sharing the same greens. Teams 6 and 2 play this week’s Fore Skin Match of the Week.

FSGL 2008 Week 12 Press Release (7/16)
The Match of the Week didn’t live up to its billing.
Yada yada yada...Team 4 is still in first and increased their lead even though they lost.
Another scramble that always spells doom for Team 4. A chance for others to catch up.
Get ready for the internet event of the year!

FSGL 2008 Week 11 Press Release (7/9)
Happy Fourth! Buy Fireworks at Commonwealth Displays!
The second half started with a...whimper, as the league was partially rained out for the second straight week. But enough holes (5) were played by the entire league to make it an official league night. Heiney was only 1 over par after 7 full holes, so that extrapolated to a 38! The Captain was 1 over thru only 5 holes, so he had to settle for a 39. Those were the highlights on a night 1/3 of the league members were off and away.
No poker and (gross) skins on partially rained out nights. There was a cook this week at Joe’s Prime Time. Robber made it his mission to make it to the bar (30 minutes after everyone else) through two trains and the severe weather. Impressive.
The second half continues with an even bigger lead for Team 4, who shrugged off the tough scramble last week for 18.5 points, led by the first ever Fore Skin Shutout by The Captain. Team 1 is making a little noise with Heiney’s 38 last week. These two make up the A-flight portion of this week’s Match of the Week: Team 1 versus Team 4. ESPN may be there.
We finally saw the beginning (or is it “ending”?).

FSGL 2008 Week 10 Press Release (7/2)
The first half ended with a...whimper, as the league was partially rained out. But enough holes (5) were played to make it an official league night. Team 5 won the scramble with a hot hand over the 5 holes that they played. In case anyone was wondering, our FSGL rules listed nothing special about an incomplete scramble, except for the fact that he entire league needed to finish 5 holes. So the scores were prorated according to how the team was doing. As it turns out, the net score of each team through 5 holes matched the prorated standings and no skins were awarded for holes unplayed. So it ended up being a non-factor anyway.
No poker and (gross) skins on scramble nights. The cook quit! In the midddle of cooking our dinner! Maybe it was because Sundance took a long time to order.
The second half begins with much of the league on vacation.
Or at least she has property up there.
