Postion Night #1
The first position night of the year comes with a whimper as the first place team gets a BYE week for some reason. They are way ahead of the field and get to expand upon it. What were the Foreskin-fathers thinking? While 3-member-Team-3 gets to play a scramble, the rest battle it out back nine style. The highlight matchup has to be the Gregular-Ween pairing as they have identical handicaps and play straight up, as God intended.

The Early May Wimpout, 2009 Edition
We did it again. We wimped out with a little rain and cold and left the course. It proceeded to stop raining until dark thirty. Heck, The Captain’s driveway was dry when he got home around 8pm. This echoes a similar early week wimpout last year. Still, it could have been miserable and we had a few no-shows.
The weather promises to be better this week. The schedule has been changed a bit to keep the integrity of our front/back round robin based template. The last two Round Robins were flipped to stay on the correct nines. The weeks were just moved up otherwise. We are on the front nine this week as originally scheduled and August 26 (the predetermined rain date) is now being utilized for the final week. The only issue is that the 2-Man Scrambles are now on the front three times and the back once. Since they are our wildcard, and one may disappear if another rainout occurs, it may not be a big deal. Still, let us know of any issue with the schedule.
Updated press release and scorecards are found to the right. Good luck.

Your Captain, Catching Up
We have played three weeks of golf so far in 2009. A lot has happened. Here we go. {deep breath}:
Kato and Baz, bitter after losing the cup on the last hole, quit the league. SWDJ followed. CCJ could get nobody to play with him at first, then got two, former cup holder Hud, and Captain Son#1 (Junior). Former Prez Mike has left Houston to settle in relatively close Ann Arbor and has Peaches and Herb’d himself with Heiney, who, I swear, had to wipe a tear from his eye. The league is back at an odd number of teams so the bye weeks came back to the schedule. CCJ’s Team 3 has surged by bagging the most points each of the first three weeks, although they cannot completely shake the famous stalking duo of your Four-Time Defending Champions, who have not yet won a decisive match. Team 5 is off to a slow start, but they seem to be setting up their averages for a mid-season run. The weather has been shaky each week, but we have gotten all golf in. Teams 1 and 2 are biding their time and look for one or both to start making some noise.
This week is Week 4. Good luck. We are all counting on you.
Reunited and it feels so gooooooooood....
